Symptom

After adding a Samsung TV IP Driver, you can control the the TV perfectly except it will not power on.

Quick Steps

Ensure the TV can be powered on from the network by enabling Power On with Mobile.

Steps for this can vary between the numerous Samsung TV lines and models, so this is an approximation.

1. Use the original remote for the Samsung TV to power on the TV using IR.
2. Opens the TV’s Settings ⚙️ menu and select Connections.
3. Select Network.
4. Select Expert Settings.
5. Enable Power On with Mobile.
6. Enable Wi-Fi (not all models require WiFi to be enabled).

The Samsung TV IP driver should now be able to reliably power on the Samsung TV.
