An update Roku has been rolling out in late 2024/early 2025 includes a settings change that can affect customer systems that use the Roku IP driver.

Symptom The Roku IP Driver slides work correctly, but the directional controls from the Dynamic Keypad do not work. This may happen only with specific apps (Roku channel and Roku Kids) but work with others (Hulu or Netflix).

Quick Steps

In the Roku's Settings:

1. Go to System > Advanced System Settings > Control by Mobile Apps.
2. Set Network Access to Enabled.
