Symptom

After adding the infrared (IR) driver for a McIntosh AVR IR, power and volume commands work, but commands for switching inputs (e.g. Input Sat or Input TV) do nothing.

Quick Steps

Good news! This one is pretty easy. It just requires you to do some setup on the McIntosh to configure discrete IR commands for each input:

1. In the McIntosh’s on-screen menu, find the Source menu.
2. Map each input command to the corresponding IR command in the AVA OS driver.
3. Try the Input commands from AVA OS again to confirm they work.

For some models, you might also be able to use the McIntosh Mobile App for this.
