Backup & Restore First Setup

AVA OS 3 makes managing and deploying projects effortless with free, encrypted Backup & Restore. Save complete configurations, restore projects across compatible AVA hardware, and reuse your work to make every installation more efficient.

Create a complete, encrypted backup of your AVA project with a single click. Restore it whenever needed, with device configurations and authenticated drivers intact. Simple, secure, and ready when you need it.

Back Up Your Project in Just a Few Steps

  1. Go to Settings → System → Backup & Restore.
  2. Select Backup Project → Back Up Now.
  3. Sign in with your AVA Pro credentials.
  4. Choose where to save your backup:
    • On your device: Save the backup file directly.
    • On your computer: Scan the QR code to download the file.
  5. Done! Your project is securely backed up and ready to restore whenever you need it.

Restore Your Project in Just a Few Steps

  1. Go to Settings → System → Backup & Restore.
  2. Select Restore from Backup.
  3. Choose your restore destination:
    • This Remote: Restore the project directly to your Cinema Remote.
    • Different Brain: Restore the project to another AVA Brain.
  4. Select your backup file (.ava-backup):
    • On your device: Select the saved backup file directly.
    • On your computer: Scan the QR code to upload your backup file.
  5. Done! Your project is restored, with device configurations and authenticated drivers intact.

Started with a remote-only project? Backup & Restore makes it easy to upgrade to a Nano Brain-based system. Transfer your existing configuration, including device settings and authenticated drivers, without rebuilding your project from scratch.
