Factory Reset the AVA Home Remote
Outcome
The Android OS software on an AVA Home Remote is restored, erasing all user-specific data on the remote.
WARNING: This process can trigger Android's Theft Detection Lock feature. Before performing a Factory Reset, always remove the Google Account from the remote.
Quick Actions
- Go to the System Settings by swiping down from the top once to open the menu, and again to expand the menu.
- Tap the ⚙️ (gear icon).
- Scroll down and tap Accounts.
- Tap the Google account being used on the remote.
- Tap Remove Account and confirm.
remove all Google accounts from the remote before proceeding to prevent Android's Theft Detection Lock from triggering. - Go back to Settings and tap System.
- Tap Advanced.
- Tap Reset Options.
- Select Erase all data (factory reset).
- Tap Erase all data.
Next Steps
Once you’ve factory restored the device the AVA Home Remote is now back to original out-of-box settings.
